Stepping Into Spring’s Light

Creativity Awakening Fully

Spring arrives softly in Queensland. Not with a shout, but with a warm, gentle exhale. After August’s quiet reawakening, September feels like stepping into a room filled with light. Colours brighten. Ideas stretch. Inspiration begins to move with confidence again. This is the month where creativity doesn’t just whisper... it begins to speak.

The Shift Into Spring

Winter’s palette taught us stillness. August taught us noticing. September teaches us opening.

I’m finding myself drawn to:

• Blush tones that feel like early blossoms

• Soft greens that hum with new life

• Warm neutrals touched by sunlight

• Gentle blues that feel like morning skies

The palette is warming, blooming, expanding, just like the heart.

Creativity With Confidence

Spring invites us to create with a little more courage. Not rushing, but stepping forward.

This month, I’m:

• Beginning new mixed-media pieces with floral undertones

• Letting colour lead more boldly

• Writing poetic fragments that feel like fresh air

• Trusting ideas that felt too fragile in winter

Spring is God’s reminder that newness is not only possible, it’s promised.

A Faith Reflection

“Flowers appear on the earth; the season of singing has come.” — Song of Songs 2:12

Spring is the season of singing. For the earth, for the heart, for the creative soul.

A Gentle Practice

Sit in your studio with the window open. Let the spring air touch your palette. Choose one colour that feels like hope. Begin with that.

Blessings
